This Easter, Birmingham Hippodrome are hosting three workshops from Monday 8th until Friday 12th April for young people aged between 7 – 16. Sister Act, We Will Rock You, Phantom of the Opera and High Society are just some of the shows that the workshops and final performance will be based on.
There are two different workshops:
1. Performance – it will be split into two ages groups (7-11 and 12-16) and the workshops will explore different musical styles, taking place each day throughout the week in singing, dancing and drama.
2. Technical – (only for ages 12-16) Participants will work with members of the Hippodrome’s technical team and learn how shows are staged. Over the 5 days, skills such as how to rig lighting, create special effects, secrets of stage management, creating concert quality sound and working with film and projection will be taught.
The workshops will run simultaneously and participants will work together to deliver a final performance for friends/family on Friday 12th April
Price for one week from (Monday – Friday): £125 per participant
